The Sixth Filipina Crowned Miss International 2016
Miss International 2016 was held in Tokyo,
Japan on October 27th. 69 delegates came from around the world fight
to the crown.
At the end of the event, Edymar Martinez
Blanco from Venezuela crowned her successor from the Philippines, Kylie
Verzosa. Australia (Alexandra Britton) marked as the first runner up and the
beautiful Indonesia (Felicia Hwang) finished as the second runner up, while
Nicaragua (Brianny Chamorro) and USA (Kaityrana Leinbach) titled as the third
and the fourth runners up.
Completed in the Top 15 were delegates from
Argentina (Yoana Don), Canada (Amber Bernachi), Dominican Republic (Cynthia
Maria Nunes), El Salvador (Elizabeth Cader), Finland (Emilia Seppanen), Japan
(Junna Yamagata), Mexico (Geraldine Ponce), Poland (Magdalena Bienkowska),
Russia (Alisa Manyonok), and Thailand (Pattiya Pongthai).
The Continental Queen were Sierra Leone (Africa),
Ecuador (America), Hong Kong (Asia), Netherlands (Europe), and Hawaii (Oceania). The Best Dresser award was Indonesia, Moldova was named Miss Perfect Body and
The Best National Costumes was Nicaragua.
Note: Did not expect her to win. Based on
the performances and speeches that night, Indonesia and Mexico were better than
the original winner. Indonesia should get the higher placement and Mexico should be in the top 5. Nicaragua was a nice surprise and USA was deserved.
